The Art Wall or How to Incorporate Art into Your Everyday Life

One of the biggest and most loved trends of the last couple of years in home decor is The Art Wall.

I think is a wonderful thing, as it allows people to explore their creativity bringing art into our daily lives. Whether is a large print on top of the bed, or a selection of personal images and pictures on an office wall, The Art Wall can be incorporated everywhere. From the living room to the kitchen, into the kids room, into the office… It can have different shapes and reflect the many different interests of each one of us.

If you don’t feel like framing everything, either because is not your style, or is too expensive, or simply too much hassle, you can always stick your pictures to the wall with Washi Tape, removable mounting squares (Scotch make some good ones), double sided tape or adhesive putty tape.

What do you guys think? Inspired by this decorative trend?

I think is a great opportunity to be creative and have fun decorating and personalizing a space. If you love DIY, or are particularly artsy and talented, you can try doing everything yourself. Write a quote you love in your favourite colour, print your Instagram pictures (for this I’ve used social print studio in the past and worked out great), make a collage with pictures you’ve found on magazines, use the nice paper shopping bags you’ve been given, cut flowers, hang some fairy lights… the possibilities are endless!

It’s nice to make our space a reflection of who we are and what we love. I bet it will be difficult to leave your place once you’re done!
