I am always on the hunt for the perfect SPF that is good for my skin and will look and feel great under makeup… well, I think the search is over!
Lancôme Bienfait Multi-Vital Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is a mouthful and totally wonderful.
This product has surprised me greatly. I mean, I was expecting it to perform nicely but the results have been much better than I hoped for.
This sunscreen lotion promises to protect, moisturize, and nourish the skin with anti-oxidants and vitamins. It contains Broad Spectrum SPF 30 (active ingredients are: Avobenzone 3%, Octisalate 5%, Octocrylene 7%). It also contains glycerin, black currant seed oil, sunflower seed oil, linalool, along with other ingredients.
What is more exciting and surprising about this product is that it is a proper sunscreen that acts as a moisturizer as well. I usually find either moisturizers, primers or foundations that have a bit of SPF thrown in there.
How the trial went?
I’ve been converted since the first time I put it on my skin. It feels soft, light and nourishing at the same time, and against all expectations, it absorbed very quickly into the skin. It doesn’t feel wet or sticky at all.
What I usually do is, I put a light watery serum first (at the moment I’m using and loving the Grown Alchemist Antioxidant + 3 Detox Serum) and then apply Lancôme Bienfait Multi-Vital Sunscreen Lotion. The skin feels immediately moisturized and looks very glowy. Oily skins be aware, you might need a matte foundation and a mattifying powder as well if you don’t feel comfortable with a very glowy look. Dry skins and sensitive skins will love this product. I have sensitive reactive skin and I haven’t had a single pimple since using this lotion. Say what again!? Also, foundation is easily applied on top of it. No more visible dry patches on me anymore.
The only thing that I’m on defense with is the scent. It smells like sunscreen (no wonder!). It reminds me of the Garnier sunscreen my mother used to put on us when I was a kid. It makes me all nostalgic. Every time I catch a glimpse of the scent I travel on time and I feel like we are getting ready to spend the day by the pool with the family… Oh well! I need to grow up already! Everything else is bliss with this SPF. I love it and will use it all spring-summer. You can find it at Lancôme, ULTA or Sephora.
A cheaper alternative that performs in a similar way is Garnier’s Skin Active Clearly Brighter Anti Sun Damage Daily Moisturizer SPF 30.
Do you have a favourite moisturizing SPF that you would recommend I check out next? Are you also an SPF scent nostalgic?
