I got a couple of exciting things on the mail last week!
I used to live in France and the Sephora sales there are so good. A couple of weeks ago, they had a particularly good sale (25% off everything for Gold Card holders) and I couldn’t resist purchasing some nice brushes and a cheeky new Chanel item. Sephora France sells Chanel, how amazing is that?! A dear Parisian friend of mine sent me everything to sunny California. I was so happy when I opened the parcel and saw my little black, white and red paper bag! I miss those…
I didn’t go too crazy. I got four brushes and one eyeliner. The eyeliner is one of my favourites of all time, CHANEL Stylo Yeux Waterproof. I got Erable 919. I can’t believe I haven’t purchased this colour before. It’s a beautiful bronze shade, creamy and long-lasting. A favourite already!
I also got a Sephora PRO Foundation Brush #55 that is meant to be used for foundation but I’m thinking it’ll be good for blush and contour as well. It’s softer than I imagined and feels very good quality for the price.
The Guerlain Meteorites Powder Brush is one that I’ve been eyeing for ages. I’m not gonna lie, mainly because it’s white and pink. It’s meant to be used with the meteorites setting and illuminating powders. I’ll try it and report back. Side note, I love that it comes in a very fancy magnetic velvet pouch. It’ll live in my bag!
The Dior Eyeshadow Brush #21 was a naughty purchase. I love the Dior foundation brush that I already own so much that I was dying to try another Dior brush. I needed a new blending brush so I thought I would give this one a try, and let me tell you, I already love it more than my MAC 217.
Now hold the phone people! This By Terry Soft-Buffer Foundation Brush is AMAZING! I know is expensive, but 100% worth it. If you are always looking for the easiest way to apply foundation and the most flawless finish, you need to try this brush! (Maybe you have already seen the Artis brushes or the new MAC ones that look similar, I haven’t tried those so I can’t compare them, but they might perform in a similar way) This By Terry Soft-Buffer Brush is my new must-have and favourite way to apply foundation. Who needs fingers or a Beauty Blender anymore?
These are all items that I probably wouldn’t buy if it wasn’t for the sale. I am so glad I picked them up though! I am particularly happy with the eyeliner, Dior’s eyeshadow brush and By Terry’s foundation brush. That one alone was worth the Parisian haul!
